Driven, Adaptable, Resilient
Hi! I’m Ashley! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game. I have a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psych with a minor in Sociology at John Jay College, and I’m currently working on my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University. My goal is to obtain my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certification to provide guidance and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. I am currently interning at a private academy where I provide support to neurodiverse students. I also assist as a substitute teacher in math, science, history, and English classes. I believe school is important because it gives a child the ability to learn what they need to be successful, it gives them a structured foundation, and they also are able to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. This is a part of them developing their own identity.
